ROVE

Turn Every Activities into a Story

The Rove app is a travel-sharing platform that allows users to document and share their journeys, capturing memorable moments, scenic views, and exciting adventures. My redesign aimed to improve both functionality and user engagement, making it easier for users to reflect on their travels and create richer, more personalized travel diaries.

Focus Areas:

1. Understanding User Needs:
Through user interviews, I identified that users wanted a more intuitive way to link their photos and activities to specific locations. They also needed an easier method to organize and review their daily travels.

2. Integration of Photos and Location Data:
I introduced a feature that automatically tags photos with GPS data, allowing users to map out where their memories were captured. This added a more immersive layer to the travel experience by connecting images to real-world locations.

3. Daily Activity Review:
A new feature provided users with a clear, engaging summary of their day, highlighting key locations, photos, and notes, helping them relive their journey in detail.

4. Clean, Intuitive Interface:
I reworked the app’s design, focusing on simplifying navigation and interaction, so users could seamlessly add photos, notes, and explore their travel logs without friction.

The redesign process involved wireframes, prototypes, and multiple rounds of user testing to ensure the app not only looked great but also felt intuitive and fun to use. Ultimately, the goal was to make the app a more engaging and effortless tool for travelers to document and share their adventures.
