Simulating Product Concept in a User Story with Teams
to Find Feasible Solutions
The most effective tools I use to find solutions and assess their value are the User Journey Map and User Storyboard. These tools help me visualize how users interact with a product by simulating different scenarios through detailed storyboards. These storyboards act as predictive models, showing how personas discover, engage with, and potentially return to the product. However, it’s critical to validate all assumptions before moving forward.
Through primary research, I dive deep into understanding user needs and pain points in real-world contexts. Using these insights, I design storyboards that show how our service directly addresses those challenges. Each storyboard is then reviewed with various teams—technical, business, and operational—to refine the narrative into something actionable. This collaboration not only highlights potential obstacles but also leads to more informed decisions. As assumptions are identified, we create targeted interview questionnaires to validate our findings with users, ensuring our solutions truly align with their expectations.
